S.I.O. (Selected/Innovative/Optimization) is DESCENTE's proprietary pattern cutting technology developed to support the optimization of athletic performance.


DESCENTE focuses on the moving human body, rather than a static posture, to create wear designs that are perfectly optimized for natural movement.

Enhanced Arm Mobility

The traditional seam that restricts stretch around the shoulder is eliminated by integrating the body and sleeve into a single piece, allowing for free arm movement.

Reduced Friction and Resistance: Seams are eliminated or minimized in areas where fabric friction is greatest during exercise, ensuring that the sewn parts do not impede movement.

Attention to Detail

The technology showcases functional and beautiful details born from DESCENTE engineers' meticulous trial and error, such as a three-dimensional sleeve shape optimized for skiing and a gently curved cutting line to protect the back of the hand from cold and contact.
